Board of Education 24/25 Budget Public Hearing on April 18
The Board of Education is holding their 24/25 Budget Public Hearing on Thursday, April 18, at 7PM in the Board of Education Meeting Room in the Superintendent Office Building. The Board of Education Meeting will follow.

To ask questions and make comments about the proposed budget, residents must attend the public hearing in person.
Testimony Request: HB5350 for Beach Pond Boating Enforcement
HB 5350- AN ACT CONCERNING THE ENFORCEMENT OF BOATING LAWS ON BODIES OF WATER NEAR THE RHODE ISLAND, MASSACHUSETTS AND NEW YORK BORDERS is going before the Environment Committee in Hartford and via Zoom on Friday, March 15.
This bill is the first step in getting dual enforcement on Beach Pond by Connecticut and Rhode Island. Connecticut boating enforcement officials would be able to enforce boating violations on the Rhode Island section of Beach Pond and vice versa with Rhode Island boating enforcement officials. A similar bill will need to be passed in Rhode Island and I am in correspondence with RI DEM to get that step moving forward when the bill passes in Connecticut.
eQuality Revaluation Data Collectors

eQuality data collectors will be visiting commercial and residential properties in town starting on the week of March 11th.
eQuality Validation Services has been hired by the Town of Voluntown to assist the Assessor’s Office with the 2024 Revaluation. The data collectors will be taking photos and doing permits.

We are currently NOT hiring and we believe that these copycat postings might be trying to gather personal information, as some ask for background check information. We have found fake postings on Geebo and Salary.com and have reported them.
