Revaluation Data Mailers

Dear Residential Property Owners,
To assist in our state-mandated property revaluation, eQuality will be mailing all residential property owners a data mailer this week. The data mailer contains detailed information about your property. We kindly request that you verify the accuracy of all data on the mailer by either following the instructions described on the mailer to submit your response online or by noting any discrepancies on the data mailer, signing it and returning it via mail. This step is critical in the assessment process, as accurate data ensures the most precise valuation of your property. A response is required within 10 days whether corrections are needed or not.
If you have any questions about the data mailers or the revaluation project, please feel free to call the Voluntown Assessor’s Office at 860-376-3927or email csarvas@voluntown.gov.

Testimony Request: HB5350 for Beach Pond Boating Enforcement

HB 5350- AN ACT CONCERNING THE ENFORCEMENT OF BOATING LAWS ON BODIES OF WATER NEAR THE RHODE ISLAND, MASSACHUSETTS AND NEW YORK BORDERS is going before the Environment Committee in Hartford and via Zoom on Friday, March 15.

This bill is the first step in getting dual enforcement on Beach Pond by Connecticut and Rhode Island. Connecticut boating enforcement officials would be able to enforce boating violations on the Rhode Island section of Beach Pond and vice versa with Rhode Island boating enforcement officials. A similar bill will need to be passed in Rhode Island and I am in correspondence with RI DEM to get that step moving forward when the bill passes in Connecticut.
