Gate Street Recreation Complex Planning Committee
The committee meets on the 2nd Monday of every month in the Town Hall Meeting Room. The meetings are open to the public.
The Gate Street Recreation Project Planning Committee was established on September 27, 2022. The Committee was disbanded in October, 2023 with the completion of the Gate Street Recreation Complex Master Plan (PDF).
The Gate Street Recreation Complex consists of Constitution Field, and the area of the walking track, old garage, pavilion, and gazebo. The Board of Selectmen created the Gate Street Recreation Complex Planning Committee at the September 27th Board meeting. This committee will assist the Board of Selectmen and the yet to be appointed consulting firm in creating a design plan for the Gate Street Recreation Complex. This plan will be used to apply for grants. There are an abundance of grants available to municipalities right now, but most of them require plans to apply. The cost of the consultant will be covered by using ARPA funds.

- Public Information Meeting- Gate Street Recreation Complex, 3/28/23
The Gate Street Recreation Complex Planning Committee was established to create a Gate Street Recreation Complex plan and this public information meeting is a step in creating that plan. This plan will be the vision for the recreation amenities and facilities at Constitution Field, and the area of the current walking track, pavilion, gazebo, Sawmill Pond access, and old town garage. The Town plans to seek grant funding to complete the final plan in stages.
The committee meets on the 2nd Monday of every month in the Town Hall Meeting Room.
